What My Child is Reading!

It's been a week of quite silly books at our house.
If You Give a Cat a Cupcake by Laura Numeroff

Oh the zany things that can happen when you offer treat food to animals.  Just like if you give a  Moose a Muffin or If You give a Pig a Pancake, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake be prepared for it to turn into a full day of events :)

There's a Bear in the Bath by Nanette Newman

If you are not up on the etiquette of having a bear as a guest in your house just let Jam (Yes that is the bears name because his mother loved Jam more than anything in the worl until she had a baby cub of her own.  Then she loved him more than anything in the world and named him Jam.) teach you how to be polite to your bear friends when they come over.

The True Story of The Three Little Pigs by Jon Scieszka

Yup our family is into backwards versions of fairytales.  You see the wolf wasn't really trying to blow down the poor little pig's house.  Really he had a cold and one of his big sneezes caused the house to be blown apart.

Read more to find out the truth in The True Story of The Three Little Pigs.

Check out what other folks are reading over at Mouse Grows Mouse Learns.

I love Jon Sczieka books, and the Laura Joffe Numberoff books. Some point I should do a post about fairy tales, I LOVE fairy tales.

We love Numeroff books here, but didn't read that one. We just read the classic version of Three Little Pigs and will try the "twisted" versions soon too. Thanks for sharing!
