First let me tell you a story... when I was a kid my Grandma had a salamander. I was aloud to hold it and carry it around (I'm not sure if I was allowed to chase my cousin around with it as she screamed in terror but I did anyway). One day I took the salamander to the basement. While I was down there I has to pee... of course I couldn't take the salamander with me to the bathroom so I left him safely on a shelf. When I got back the creature was gone. My Grandma and I searched the basement and found our wee friend just in the nick of time hiding under a tent. (He was quite dried out and I ran him upstairs to his fish bowl to soak in the water).
Fast forward to yesterday:
The big one in the jar is "Slimer" (I promise my kids have never seen Ghostbusters) and the little one that the kiddos are playing with is "Lemon".
I quickly texted my Grandma to ask her how to take care of our new (temporary) pets... her response: "don't put them on a shelf to text" :)
