van Gogh The Starry Night (Part 1)

The story of van Gogh is certainly a tragic one... His work however is extremely beautiful and moving...  To start our study I had each kiddo look at this optical illusion which really brings The Starry Night to life

Next up we used this Starry Night project idea posted by For the Love of Art to create our own StarryNights..

 Even daddy got it on swirling blue paint...

I've never seen that optical illusion before and it's SOOO cool!! We did a lesson on this same picture and I'm really excited to show that link to the kids tomorrow!
