Sidewalk Crayon Fun-Giveaway

Yesterday we tried to soak up the last little bit of summer left here in the North and headed outside to use our Crayola Sidewalk Crayons.
We have a gravel driveway so we had to get creative coloring with our Crayola Sidewalk Crayons.

We used the stones on the front step as our canvas to create beautiful artwork.
Letter recognition practice becomes much more interesting when you step out of your normal routine.

I can not believe how lovely and bright the colors are.

After a little bit of research I came across a game called Tic Tac Toss from Family Fun Magazine.
I made a few alterations and came up with our version of Tic Tac Toss.

Once again since we don't have any pavement to use our Crayola Sidewalk Crayons on I drew a game board on a piece of plywood.
It's a bit tough to see.  Basically it's just a 3x3 grid (like a tic tac toe board).

Each player had a cornstarch filled balloon and a Crayola Sidewalk Crayon in coordinating colors.
(Hudson had a green balloon and a green Crayola Sidewalk Crayon.  I had orange).

Here's how the game works.  When it's your turn, toss your balloon onto the grid.  If the square is empty color it with your Crayola Sidewalk Crayon.   If it is already colored you try for an empty square next time.  If you miss the grid it's the other player's turn.  The player with the most colored squares wins.

Speaking of winners... I just happen to have a set of 15 Crayola Sidewalk Crayons to giveaway.
