This week we read the story of Samuel in the Pray and Play Bible.
The kiddos had a ton of fun creating Samuel on a person template cut out of cardstock.
First they colored some pajamas on to Samuel.
Then glued hair and eyes on to him.
I provided some scrap fabric squares for Hudson and Meadow to make a quilt for their Samuels.
And here is Samuel and Samuel tucked in cozy.
While doing this craft we talked about quietly listening to God speak to us. We talked about how God's word is like a quilt over us to comfort us and protect us.

This is so adorable. I love the quilt idea. We have an old Bible story cassette of the story of Samuel and this line has encouraged my heart for years, "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening." A great purpose for all ages.
Oh I love those cozy, colorful quilts. What a clever way to help remember the story. Thank you for linking up to Show and Tell this week!
Ah, your Samuel's turned out really cute! Love the different "patchwork" pieces.
