Math Manipulatives

I love a good deal so when I spotted these little cubes in the thrift store last week I snatched them up.

There are 6 different colors each with their own little container to keep them in. So far Hudson has just worked on simple patterns with them, but they have so much potential.

Even Meadow gets use out of them as a fine motor activity.

What do you use as counters in your school?

I love the bags of tiny animals and reptiles I found at the dollar store. I also have old Monopoly houses, old keys and the traditional counting bears. I store them in old canning jars or old condiment jars so it is a nice display, too.

I love a good deal too...I love yard sales, thrift stores, dollar (or in my case--pound) stores, charity shops, etc. These little cubes are cool!

So-so neat! We mostly use counting erasers from Dollar Store or sometimes craft sticks or buttons.

We use flat marbles, buttons, and now we are using her tiny farm animals.

That's a great find. I use just about anything for counters. You name it we count it. :-) I also like your Walmart find of the dry erase board.
