We went to see where the water of the Stuart River flowed.

Out of the sky came a marvelous thing.A delicate piece of a butterfly wing.
True enough my friends. This butterfly wing came right out of the sky and fell where we were exploring the flooding river. The wing however is not all that fell from the sky... so did the inspiration for our next unit study...

We have been trying to catch butterflies all season around here...my kids would be jealous! =)
