I think my favorite part of the process is the splotch of leftover color that comes out with the butterfly... Like they have been painted by the hand of God inside the chrysalis.
Maybe that's where they get their name... Painted Lady

Yay!!! I was slightly amazed last year when ours survived as well! I always feel confident recommending them to people... if we can "hatch" them - anyone can! So much fun!
