How to Grow a Gummy Bear

Before I get into this super cool science experiment I want to tell you that I just downloaded an app called Frame Magic for my iPad.  It's a super easy way to make photo collages.... and it's FREE right now.  (The regular price is $1.99).
I am not affiliated with Frame Magic or it's creators... just passing on a tip to my readers.

Now on with the show...
Materials:
  • 2 Gummy Bears
  • a small container (we used a jar) a
  • 1/4 cup of water
Instructions:
Place 1 of the gummy bears into the container. Pour in the water. Leave it overnight.

So our Question was: What will happen if we leave a gummy bear in 1/4 cup of water overnight?

Hudson's prediction: It will get wet and change colour.

What actually happened: The gummy bear did get wet and it did change colour (to light orange). It got bigger. It sucked up the water.

And of course the best thing to do with a big gummy bear...

Is share it with a friend. :)

What a fun (and simple) experiment! Too bad my kids literally just ate all the rest of the gummy bears in our house!
