Tot School- Farm Week

This week was farm week here at the palace. Yee Haw it was a stompin' good time!

I have fallen in love with the book Dooby Dooby Moo By Doreen Cronin. We borrowed it from the library to be our book of the week. I love it so much that I will soon be purchasing this title as well as some others from the same author.
Those of you who read my blog regularly may have noticed that I adore hand print crafts. Here is yet another one. This is such a sweet little woolly cotton ball sheep.
In the middle of the week our home school friend Eden took us on a tour of her family's farm.

On Friday we made a book all about our time on the farm.

I have also been bitten by the organizing bug this week so if you missed my post about work boxes click here.

You are going to love this idea if you haven't already done it before. I was a student teacher in a kindergarten room this past fall semester and I did a 2 week farm unit. One of the crafts we did was This Little Piggie. I had each student step onto a pink ink pad. I then pressed their toes onto a white sheet of cardstock or construction paper. I then drew little piggie faces, tails, and feet on them and at the top I wrote "And this little piggie went "Oink, oink, oink" all the way to kindergarten!" The parents loved this. It really is such a cute idea. If I had a scanner I would scan my pic of them, but I don't. Hope you can use it!

We actually studied farms as well this week, that's going to be my Tot School post tomorrow.

Have you ever read the other books in the Duck series by this author? They are great, the first is "Click, Clack, Moo, Cows that Type." and the others are "Duck for President," and I've completely forgotten the name of the other one. My kids love all of these.
