Creation Unit Study Day 5

Please do forgive the delay in getting our creation study posted. I have been busy with my new Etsy shop Made on Fifth Street.
If you have missed previous Creation posts I encourage you to go back and read them:

On with day 5 God created the fish and birds
Activity #1 (science)
We made birdseed biscuits.

Here is the recipe I got from Mom's Out Shopping. (Instead of straws we used rolled foil).
Recipe (makes 2 biscuits,)

3/4 cup bird seed
1 tbl. flour
2 tbl. water

~Mix ingredients in a small bowl.
~Grease the inside of shaped cookie cutters (we used a heart, flower, tree, and cat LOL)
~Press mixture into cutters and place on foil lined baking sheet
~Insert a 2" section of a plastic drinking straw into each biscuit to create a hole for hanging.
~Bake at 170 degrees for one hour, with straws intact.
~Cool completely, remove straws, and tie ribbon or string for hanging.

Activity #2 (math, logic)
Hudson completed this Creation Day 5 puzzle that I printed from Christian Preschool Printables.

Activity #3 (art)
Hudson made a really great fish mural.  First he colored some fish coloring pages with crayon.
Next he drew seaweed onto a large piece of paper.
Then he glued the fish onto the paper.
The whole thing was painted over with watered down blue tempera paint.
Last he used bubble wrap to add bubbly detail to the ocean.

Stay tuned for our last day of creation tomorrow!
