Preschool Corner Letter T

Photobucket

We love having friends come over for school time. For the first day of T week we had our pal Joel over.

The boys started our coloring letter D templates from DLTK with brown markers.

Next they tore up some green paper.

And glued it to the top of their Ts to make tree Ts.

Once their craft was done Joel and Hudson headed downstairs where we set up the tent.

They made it a cozy hideout with tons of pillows and blankets. They almost couldn't fit in there themselves. (Which reminds me I better declutter my blanket collection :))

Soon two little tummies were rumbling so we headed back to the kitchen table to make Rice Krispie Treats.

Each boy took a turn counting marshmallows into the pot,

pouring in the Rice Krispies,
and stirring the mixture.
Unfortunately I missed out on the eating pictures but you can imagine their blissful little faces devouring this gooey snack.

The rest of our week was a bit busier than I would have liked.  We were able to make a Martha Stewart puppet kit tiger.

And do some work in our Kumon books.

And we played with this cool puzzle I got at Michael's for $1.50.

It is great practice for number recognition and sequencing. (Which you can tell fromthe picture we are still working on :))  We also have the alphabet version.

Find out what others have done this week. Head over to Homeschool Creations and My Family My Forever.

As usual you had such a fun, creative week. I love your use of the tent this week. Why couldn't I have thought of that for our "Tt" week months back! So fun! Fun commentary too!

You always have the greatest ideas! We don't have a tent but Selena loves it when I make a fort with two chairs and a blanket! I guess that is our tent. I just love the Tigers you made!

I bet the tent was a huge hit!

How fun to have a friend over for preschool time. I bet that is a great way to also teach taking turns and other important character skills. Hmm, maybe we need to do this as well.

Sounds like a great week. I think we have the same tent - ours came from IKEA, and Anna loves it a lot. I will reply to your question in an email :)

I'm wondering if our Michaels has the puzzle - it's a great size!!

So fun! I love how you did all "T" activities. Such a great way to teach the alphabet. I will have to remember the tent when we do the letter "T". Wes would love that!

Your T week looked great. I agree that it is fun when friends come over and you can do things together. We will be doing that next week when my sons'cousin will be staying with us.

I have that same tent. It gets a lot of use when it's up.
